Personal Description:

I have completed a 120-hour Korean language teaching certification course and also hold a TESOL certificate. My MA was in education and linguistics is my current research area. I am passionate about sharing the Korean language and culture with those who are interested in Korea, under enjoyable and engaging learning activities.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 10 years of teaching experience in English, Korean language, Korean history, and primary mathematics. In Korea, I have taught Korean to foreign workers and immigrants, and in London, I have taught Korean language and history to second-generation children to help them preserve and strengthen their cultural roots. At present, I have six adult learners, and I can effectively teach up to ten students at a time while giving each my full attention.

Teaching Approach:

I design my lessons in a well-organized and engaging manner, always incorporating fun elements to maintain learners’ interest. Consistency is key in all learning, and I make sure to create a learning environment where learners not only enjoy their time but also see tangible improvements in their skills. As a speaker of English and Chinese as second languages, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and approach teaching with empathy and effectiveness.
