Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Bella**Removed By Admin**and I aim to create energetic and enriching learning experiences for my students.
As a performer, I play a range of different music. As one of this year’s Southbank Future Artists, I created and performed a concert in the Purcell Room. Recently, I worked with a singer, composer, and art curators to create a piece responding to artwork at the Courtauld Gallery. I also recently performed as part of quartets in residence at Waterperry Opera Festival and Musique dans les Gers Chamber Music Festival. Recently, I worked on experimental improvisation projects culminating gigs at Vortex Jazz Club and Ikletik London. I regularly play with the Glyndebourne Sinfonia, the Orchestra for the Earth, and the London Bollywood Orchestra.
I recently earned my Professional Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music learning with John Myerscough. I also earned a Masters of Arts from RAM and received financial support from the Calleva Foundation. I previously studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music where I received a Bachelor’s of Music with Academic Honors and Suzuki Pre-Twinkle and Book 1 Qualifications. I have been a top prize-winner with the David Martin/Florence Hooton Concerto Prize, Verao Classico, National Society of Arts and Letters, and Washington Performing Arts Feder and Misbin Competitions.
Tutoring Experience:
As a Benedetti Foundation Ambassador, I have engaged in teaching and workshop leading for a variety of different ages and levels of playing. I also am trained in the Suzuki method and in teaching early beginners. I have worked as a mentor in the Music Pathways Fellowship Program at the Cleveland Institute of Music and as a workshop leader with the Brixton Chamber Orchestra. This year, I was the Artist in Residence in the Poole Society for Young Musicians which involved coaching young musicians and leading orchestra rehearsals.
Tutoring Approach:
I value joy and play in learning and give students a well rounded experience where they will not only improve their musicianship but also their listening skills, focus, communication, and problem solving. Lessons for young early beginners are usually 30 minutes. Older students have hour-long lessons. Each student is a unique learner and I take care to tailor my teaching to best fit their needs.
