Personal Description:

I am a professional, hard-working and yet very social teacher of English as a Foreign Language. I enjoy promoting and teaching good English to all ages and abilities and believe firmly in embracing new languages and cultures. Languages offer fantastic opportunities for travel and making new friends as I was able to do in Spain, France and Canada.
I approach life with a smile and look forward to learning English in a fun way with all my students.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching languages in secondary schools across the north-west of England as well as in Spain, working with both adults and children. This includes company classes, small group and one-to-one tutorials essentially focused on speaking. I have also successfully taught Cambridge Exam classes from a pre-intermediate to an advanced level (PET, FCE and CAE) achieving a 100% student pass rate for last year.

Most recently I have been private-tutoring students of all ages and abilities in Liverpool at their homes with their friends, helping them prepare for exams, improve their academic, social or business English and adapt to British culture.

Teaching Approach:

I personalise each language lesson according to the specific needs of the learner. Time is spent discussing individual goals together at the start of their learning and we work towards achieving these goals in our classes. Every six weeks, the student's progress and goals are reviewed in order maximize learning potential.

All lessons are delivered interestingly and creatively, and are supplemented by the use of the internet, dvds and games, to make learning as fun as possible.

My lessons have been described as "personalised", "professional" and "entertaining" by my English language students.
